What can I say…

at the last minute my trip to the Tibetan province of Kham

that I had been planning and looking forward to for months was cancelled.

The festival dates were changed, the permits difficult and rerouting at the last moment became Impossible.

Needless to say I am disappointed  and I am back the the drawing board, busy planning my next adventures…

Off to california in the meantime to spend some time with family and friends.

  1. So sorry to hear, Terri. The closures this year have been particularly severe and widespread. For the past couple of years, I have been hoping to do an overland trip to Lhasa but right now, I’ll settle for an open Lithang in the spring.

  2. I’m so sad about this Terri. I am not surprised it was cancelled as I know a number of people who aren’t able to get permits now. But I am sorry because I know how much you were looking forward to going. No doubt you will find an even better photo project! nv

  3. When God laughs the unexpected opportunities arise and you just have to see them in order to jump in. Maybe we have to take the China trip together one day!
